For Authors
Submit ManuscriptThe Georgetown Journal on Poverty Law and Policy (GJPLP) is the nation’s premier law journal on poverty-related issues. As part of its objective to bring an end to the desperate conditions afflicting so many in this wealthy nation, GJPLP seeks legal scholarship that explores the intersectional and systemic nature of economic injustice and the law. Some topics of recently published articles include welfare reform, rural access to courts, healthcare injustice, and workplace rights. The journal does its best to reflect the realities of poverty in America, with our articles being both interdisciplinary and intersectional.
We invite you to submit a manuscript to be considered for publication. GJPLP welcomes all methodologies and seeks innovative approaches to poverty law and policy in its consideration of law review articles, case studies, case comments, and narrative submissions for publication.
Published works are distributed to attorneys, politicians, policymakers, academics, students, public interest groups, and service providers nationwide. With your involvement, GJPLP can continue to play a key role in forging the debate on pressing legal and policy issues affecting poor and working people both domestically and internationally by raising awareness, offering analysis, and crafting solutions.
Successful articles and notes will not only describe issues that persist across or contribute to systemic poverty, but will also provide solutions. In this way, our journal can serve to benefit those who are on the frontlines in tackling these issues.
